I had to work the date in between our BRP summer series, and my GF birthday. September 8th is the Freddie's 500 for the 1/4 scales so that only left August. I am sure which ever race people decide to attend they will have a nice time. :)

Due to a large number of requests, we are moving the date of the Freddie's Summer race to September 1st and 2nd.

We will run 4 qualifiers on Saturday and do triple A-Mains on Sunday.

This will enable those to attend the ROAR race and come here.

Remember its a CAP only race

Ok now that the ARCOR race is over. You can all see it was a VERY good time. All I can say is, it was HOT. To hot for my liking. Labor day weekend we will do this again with the Freddie's Summer Championship Race. It will be a cap race.

For those who missed this past weekends race, you may want to make plans now on attending this one. I look forward to seeing all of the crazy guys I met this weekend back in two months. A nice way to finish of the year. Plus it shouldn't be so darn hot the first week in September.

This is good I got a lot of request to change the dates. People want to come here but really want to do the ROAR race. I will be looking forward to seeing you. We should have all the grass back down by then.

Well no racing today, The boys are here trying to get a handle on the caps

Lets just say its not going to be easy. I am thinking its going to be a cap handout race. We will figure out what's going to work and make them the handout. Make it easier on people, The question is will those boys down south leave their home track to race up north?
Anyone can be a hero on their home town track. :o

Problem solved.

How not to have the problem in the first place......

It might end up being a mistake to allow foams to run now that you know the caps work. The foams have been known to really screw up the traction for caps.

The foam groove will wear out of it evenutally. :drunk:

Funny you should say that, as soon as I figure out this pole thing I am going to put one up, for Faoms / Caps I am not going to have a race for only 30 entries. I will move it to foams and get everybody back and then some. I should have it up today ? I am tring

Freddie: Pole sounds like a good idea, but you will have capped racers that aren't even thinking about coming, voting on your pole, same for foam racers. Some guys wouldn't race foams on a bet and same for some capped racers.

Caps will work on your track, the guys just need to figure them out. Caps don't work like foams, which means a different set-up etc. Racers can't take that
perfectly set up foam car and expect the same results with caps. Set-up, set-up, set-up....

The set up will be surpsingly close. I bet a ride height adjustment and a little softer in the center shock or T-Bar will do it.

There is a bit of a learning curve with the tires themselves. They have to break in and can be sensitive to how you prep them.

From the old posts back in May it sounded like caps were working just fine for those who tried them then.

The old post were when the track was just a few weeks old. The asphalt had all of the little tits still on it, the fence was not up.
Mike was running outside of the racing area we have in now. He was the only one who had ran them before now.
I am sure if he ever gets back out here, he himself will find a different ball game. All those cap runs before were one person with no fence, on a brand new track, that had nothing ever run it, besides him almost.

Perhaps in a year or so when the track gets some age on it, all the oil comes up and gets washed off, things will be different

I'm sure next year it'll be better like you said. It'll be easier to get guys to give caps a try at the start of a season anyway.
