Randy Baker has pleaded with the sprint car owners to bring them out. I guess they are afraid to run with Randy. Randy has also sent out an email to sprint owners for this week end. We stopped by on our way back from the midwest nats a couple of weeks ago. Did not see any one with a sprint other than Randy Erb. He offered to run his car even though it was in need of repair as in a cracked frame. We told him no way as it could cause further damage to the car. We came by to help fill a field of sprints but did not see you or some of the others. If you are serious about the sprint car BRING it to the Tri State Race in two weeks. WE WILL have a field of fast sprints. Get it ready and get it done. Sprints rule. hobbyten 07-02-2007, 09:07 PM I Don't Travel To Much As I Live In Northern Mi. I Am Going To Race In Lansing This Weekend But Will Have To Pass The Tri State Race Due To My Grandkids Coming To Stay With Us. They Live In Tenn. And I Don't See Much Of Them. Also If I Want To Keep My Happy Home I Have To Get Rid Of One Car. Due To The Fact That Lansing Doesn't Have Sprints Show Up All The Time I Went With A Sportsman Car. Also I Only Like To Run One Class So I Can Bs More So The Sprint Is Out. Randy Baker 07-03-2007, 05:38 AM Randy Baker has pleaded with the sprint car owners to bring them out. Ok I guess it's time for me to get in the mix . Al I'm sorry that for your first club race at Lansing not enough sprint cars showed up . I did send out an e-mail to everybody that had one to see who was ready even your bud Doug . From the response I got , do to the fact it was Father's day and other reasons , the only person I knew was going was Doug and he mentioned you and felt you two would use it as a practice day . I was gonna come but ended up putting my dad in the hospital . Last year we ran a sprint car class 7 out of 8 club races . For years I have been trying to talk up the sprint car class at Lansing and eventually it grew . Also for years I tried and did field two cars for the club , NCS and Tri-State series , races . It's tough , been there done that . I now only run sprinters . The guys in the club that have both have a tough decision to make on which one to run on race day . It's either one is good and the other you're chasing all day or both suck . And to agree it's darn expensive to keep both going . As mentioned in an earlier post I don't feel anybody is afraid to run with me . Most of the guys club wise have two classes to run and they run the one that is ready . Yes Fred and I and Randy Erb did show up for the last club race with sprinters and your bud Doug knew were going to be there , what happened to you guys ? For what ever reasons you didn't show with a sprinter . It's a timing thing , first club race most of use got called off because of weather , second club race ( Father's Day ) , third club race , you didn't show . It's a little too early in the season to say that guys in Lansing don't run sprinters . Glad to hear you landed a sportman car and you're happy with it and when you feel like showing up to race there will probably be enough cars to run . Randy hobbyten 07-03-2007, 09:50 AM i'm not unhappy with the other people i jumped into the sprint because i like them and then i found out that there isn't always enough to race them. i didn't look at what they run in lansing close enough. i love to race and would rather have a car that i know there is going to be enough for a class every time i show up. i can't make every show at lansing due to other commitments and money of course and just want to be able to race when i can make it. i don't expect people to show up just because i may be there that wouldn't be fair of me to do, so with the sportsman car i have alot more company when i do show. i love the sprint and had it handling great with the new body i bent up for it but for now it must go. thanks for your responce and i hope to meet you some day when we both make it on the same day right now it seems like tues. practice days are my best days to show thats just how it goes. al vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
