The three works team Capris from the 1972 Le Mans 24 Hours. The #54 of Birrell / Bourgoignie came home 10th overall & 1st in the TS class. One place behind was the #52 of Glemser / Sloer-Roig. However the #53, driven by Mass / Stuck retired early. The models are by Trofeu.

I'm not crazy about the Ford Capri Steve, but I must say those are three very well detailed models in 1/43 scale.

I like 'em. I wouldn't mind seeing a stock version of the Mercury badged Capri that was sold here in the early 70s. I remember my older brother had a couple of them, the first must have been around 1971. I was a little kid at the time, but I thought they were pretty sharp.

Thanks Ray - the detailing is very good. I love the spotlights on the front of the cars.

I rather like Capris - Ford of Europes version of the Mustang - I think I have about 10 various Mk I, Mk II & Mk IIIs altogether.

I knew the Capri Mk I was exported to the USA - didn't realise it was badged as a Mercury. In the UK it was marketed as "the car you always promised yourself".

Nice also. I recently saw a resin 1/87 model of the Zakspeed Capri from the group 5 days I believe. Keep showing you collection, not often do we get to see these types of cars.

A street version 1972 that was totalled by an idiot who ran into my son in 1985.

A shame, because that looks like lovely Mk I
