Could someone tell me what upgrades the 07 lrp sphere has vs the earlier model?
Looking to possibly buy the 1st version.

Thanks

...I got a 1st version used, and have had my share of problems with it...(But, they've really been ME not the ESC)

I'm too used to NOVAK products, so the setup is foreign to me..then when I got it to go...I had it in LIPO mode, so it would shut down under power...which had me scratching my head while nearly 600 miles from home at a race w/o the instruction manual...

I'm finally getting a handle on understanding the setups, and I'm liking this ESC pretty well.

I also have 4 of the GTB's and they have been awesome, as long as I remember which way the plug wire plugs in..and where all the harness's go.

did you try the lrp web site first?

i love my 2006 version as do many in the focar series. it's about a 50/50 split with novak and lrp and i have heard of problems with both units.

i can tell you novak customer support blows away lrp's.

I may be a one of a kind, but I've had great support from both - BUT - I'm in CALIF and have friends who work for Associated who have taken care of me well...and I'm making friends at NoVAK too...so it's ALL good.

I've had bad luck with my 06 LRP Sphere Comp. It quit in February for no good reason. And it took over 2 months to get it back from AE. Lots of feel good, tell me what I want to hear stories. "Were going to send you a brand new 07 when they clear customs". "It's going in the mail tommorow". "It's going in the mail next week". "We need $65 to cover the repair costs of your old one because the warranty expired during the time we had it in the shop, after we received it!".
When I finally got it back it still stunck of "factory smoke".

NOVAK RULES!! HANDS DOWN!!
