Ok so anyone who saw my other thread knows that ive been messing with a 1986 Giant Vac push blower. I recieved it free with a frozen engine, so I soaked the engine in oil and was able to free it up good enough to start tonight. It ran rough at first and then ran better, I can't really tell how good because so many things on the blower are loose and rattling. After it ran the engine seemed alot more freed up when I pull it. Amazingly after all the engines been through there seems to be a normal amount of scoring in the cylinder and nothing deep. Now that ive made my story longer than it needs to be I have questons. #1 I did a compression test and it says 50psi, is that good, is there a compression release of some kind on my engine? #2 I may have to grind down the valve stems, whats the best way to grind the stems? #3 my engine cannon be removed because its welded to that shaft so is there any additives I should put in the oil to help repair some damage from the previous owner?
