it appears that the red chassis are rarer than the black chassis. for example, jeff of motorcitytoyz opened 40 master cases and found just 10 RED CHASSIS.

so if your a person who likes to collect white lightnings, the red chassis might be important to you. heck, i bought one of those silver/chrome AW 55 chevys just so i could play with the silver chassis.

i think it would be neat to have at least one red chassis, but i am not sure its worth $26 to me

While he maybe should not have used the words White Lightning, this car is considered a "Chase Car" with the whacky red chassis.

It's worth 26.00. the going rate seems to be about 35-45 bucks, BUT, if you have any slot shops in the area, check them out, seems like people don't know about the red chassis, I found both the gtx and starksy and hutch car a few days ago.

Maybe he should have stated "red lightning" as JL did back in the day. ;) rr

I talked to Tom a few weeks ago and suggested he put red tires on them and call them "red thunders", he laughed and said maybe he will.

what is the real reason why they make red chassis? just for fun or just for attention to get more people to buy them or??? is it a error?

Red Tire Smoke....That would be Way Cool!!!!! lol :cool:

Last year at the Auto Show they had a real 1/1 roadster with light red tires....all red. Was kinda cool but, funky looking. Bet they cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ major booooo kooooooooo bucks tooooooooooooooo.

My chrome 55's both have red chassis too.
