in its regular wheel years this grand toy was done in a couple of colors, green and a super shade of blue, which gave us a few shade variations, the toy also had a grand hood emblem (badge) at the front center. It also featured opening doors and a trunk that raised. As its life ended and went to the Superfast range, it lost its hood emblem, but for a very short period of time its doors still opened.....and then they were sealed.

the finish on the SF with opening doors is just spectacular, in hand it just is a marvel to look upon.

I remember the gold opening doors issue as a child, and then oneday a kid came to school with one that had the doors cast shut.The opening door gold cars occasionally appear on ebay but I havent seen one in the metal since 1972-73.As a child I had the blue rw model but i didnt particularly like it because it was one of only 2 occasions where I used my precious pocket money to buy a car I didnt want because the shop I was taken to didnt have a car I really wanted.On this occasion I had seen the 25 rw Cortina GT the previous week but come saturday morning pocket money time they had sold out- no consolation but i learned about saving money that day, because i could only get 1 lesney every 3 weeks in those days.
