hey all:One question has come to my mind about brushless oval racing and that is this. Why does touring car racing allow brushed and brushless motors to run together while oval racing has seperate classes for brushed and brushless motors? I have no problem with this either way i'm just curious as to why they do it this way.Just something to think about and thanks for the info :)

I've never raced touring cars, but my understanding from what I've read is that the motors match up much better in touring and offroad then they do in oval. For example, in touring a 13.5 and a stock motor actually run really similar and the same for 4300 and 19T. In oval it would be pointless to run them together because there is a pretty big power difference. If you ran stock and 13.5 together everyone wold run 13.5 and if you ran 19T and 4300 together everyone would run 4300 (though the power difference is smaller there).

For weekly racing I do not see a problem with it. They are sooo close in speed. It will make bigger car counts too.

The only class they are allowed to run together is in mod. This is at any big race... now club racing you will see more tracks allowing 13.5/stock and 10.5/19 turn running together... and yes I race touring cars also

From the reading I have been doing, there seems to be a tracks that they seem to matchup and other where there is a siginificant difference.
I guess we need to leran this stuff.

We ran the same epic bruhsed motor for years. Everybody aftermarket motor tuner bought it and put their own sticker on it. The only difference was the outside sticker and sometimes a dyno printout. When epic changed the color of the can tweeked the arm or brush hood etc the rest of the world followed. I look at Novak motors as the new Epic for the future of racing.
KenkBajdek, very well said.

Except for the fact that all of the other BL "Epics" are being churned out by factories in China.....
