I just got my insurance check a few days ago and I'm looking for a resin body that might not be available but should be an easy conversion of the existing TY-Jet indy car, so here goes.
You guys prolly all know about Humpy Wheeler's Dwarf Cars. He has a second class called the Thunder Roadsters, modeled after the Indy roadsters of the early 1960's except for a full cage and side pods. What I'm looking for is someone who has (or is willing to) built (build) a resin version of this car for T-Jets. They're basically a Watson Roadster. I think it'll be much better as a resin kit that you add a cage to than as a vacuformed for the T-Jet. I'd order half a dozen (at $10 each) if someone want's to tackle it.

I opened the resin stuff Mike King sent me, was going to try one of my own but the rubber molding part was all dried out. I could build the buck if a resin slinger wanted to do the cars. I've put my MT/XT's away for the moment and have been playing only with the T-jets since the accident. This would give me a chance to use my nice RRR wheel sets again.

I think your marriage to Roger Corrie is imminent! Check out his Indy/Hot Rod pics in this forum.

Here are some I make. The top two that mold is gone but the only difference is the exhaust. They all fitan Aurora Indy car chassis with the wheels in the HotRod position.
The next I call Curtis Roadster then the bottom one I call a Watsun
The exhaust and gas cap are cast in the other details are separate casting.
I have been working on 3 detailed parts molds and Bill Kurtz is buying the first prtotypes. If they work out I will be selling the 3 molds for $25.00 for those modelers looking to detail their Indy cars

That's pretty close Roger. I think I'll work on a buck of what I saw at the VA in an automotive magazine. I have an information packet coming for the Thunder Roadster from 600 Racing, that will help. I have't given up on resin slinging yet.
Hi Pete,

Believe it or not the same thought crossed my mind when I saw your silver crown body for the XT
There are a couple of options here...
1) Slam the crap out of an aroura indy racer and use the side pods to clip the body onto an XT...
2) Slam the crap out of a Willard and just add the extra body work, I'm assuming that you are using a JL or AW tuff one chassis with stock size tires.
I'm your huckleberry

Yep, that's the beast. I think I'll do up a buck for it first, maybe vacuform a few to see how they would work. I'm going to go open cockpit and add the cage with a paper clip or something.
