The little Smart coupe didn't last long before Mercedes-Benz pulled the plug - a shame as it was a Sprite/Midget for the 21st century. I've heard that another company have bought the rights & will reintroduce the car - I understand it would be made in the UK. Hopefully, it will have a proper manual gearbox this time.
