I have a 3.5 hp Briggs and Straton motor with a sheared pin. I have taken the wheel cover off and the brace, now I can't get the wheel off. I do not have a wheel puller, so does anyone know any alternative method for removing the wheel?

I assume you mean the flywheel? Screw the nut back on the crankshaft to protect the top threads. I get someone to hold the mower off the ground 1/4 inch ( with 8 fingers under flywheel ) and hit easy with hamer on a hard piece of wood or aluminum /brass placed on nut to protect threads. The flywheel will fall off easy. You can place 2 screw drivers in each side of flywheel hold pressure on them when you hit nut -easy.
