I recently bought both. And I have to admit their are some large differences.
here's what i observed.
1) The Picco is far more durable and easier to fly.

2) The Mosquito is extreemly manuverable and has 3 channel controls as opposed to the 2 channel on the Picco.

3) The most important thing to learn is how to hold a good level hover and your take offs and landings. once you master this flying either copter is a breeze.

4) The mosquito has recently been replaced with an upgraded model which i bought. It flat out boogies! very fast in foward. reverse is a bit more tame.

5) The picco is an excellent first copter for any one. even my girlfriend can fly it.

6) Do not buy the mosquito until your good with the picco. I broke a rotor blade on my mosquito already. The picco just gets up and flys away again and again. And I have crashed mine a good 50 times already and not a single problem yet. I crashed the Mosquito about 12 times and already snapped a blade.

7) BOTH are alot of fun especially if ya got cats or dogs in the house! heheheh

7a) Fly over a carpeted floor its better for the hard landings. trust me. And don't forget to turn off all fans and vents in the room so you do not create turbulance. these things are tiny and very lite. about 6 grams for the mosquito. not sure about the Z.

8) my son and i plan on dog fighting them once we are both real good fliers.

I really feel they are both worth the money. Yes the mosquito can run 90 bucks with batteries but its a far more advanced copter than the Z. The Picco is also worth the 20 to 30 your gunna plunk down for that one too. I spent a total of 120.00 and got 2 very good copters.
