Tim Mc 05-30-2007, 07:52 AM A fresh thread!
After speaking to several on the phone and reading a few replies, Woody's idea seemed to be a good option. We can discuss it here and/or bring it to a vote at the next race. Here is his idea....

That would have put 6 in the A everyone else is done. 3rd place finisher in the B gets 7th place points and on down. However, having said that, I believe we would need to change the qualifing from the current method to the fastest one heat of the 3 run. Could also set up the qualifiers based on the series points - again based on this week - top 5 in series points in the A group and the rest in the B group.
dpopham 05-30-2007, 09:14 AM I say let's just leave it alone until the next drivers meeting, and discuss it there.
dpopham 05-30-2007, 09:32 AM Everyone. Please remember, the forums are here to promote the sport, the club, and to to help and encourage each other. If there are things to be hashed out, then we need to do it "offically" at the drivers meetings. Just let me or Allen know that you have something to bring up, and you will be given an opportunity.
My email address is davidpopham@charter.net if anyone needs to contact me directly. I check it regularly on weekdays, not so much on the weekends.
dpopham 05-30-2007, 09:35 AM BERTZILLA !!!
Good to hear from ya. Thought you crawled under a rock somewhere. We miss you here and at the track!!! Hope to see you there soon.
Tim Mc 05-30-2007, 09:35 AM David,
Are you going to be able to be at our next race? If there is anything we can help with on your car, let us know.
Hope to see you soon,
Tim
dpopham 05-30-2007, 10:49 AM Tim,
I'm not sure when I'll be at the track, that's why i posted my email. I'm two men short on a four man crew, so work scheduling is quite a challenge right now.
I think my car is good. I just need to find time to get out and practice.
Any good ADEM Certified Grade IV water plant operators out there that want to work/live within 20 mins of the best asphalt oval in the country?
Tim Mc 05-30-2007, 11:55 AM I here ya man. We all are thinking about you and the family. We'll be glad to see you when we can.
Take care my friend.

Echeconnee 06-01-2007, 10:19 PM Will have 1/4 pounder in 2 weeks-Will travel!
Need to mix some fuel. What oil to gas ratio do most of you use? I have been mixing 1 gal to 2.5 ounces of Amsoil; however, it leaves a lot of residue on the plug. Off course I could be running rich.
ScottH 06-02-2007, 07:51 PM Hey guys, what type of Amsoil do you use. I used to be an Amsoil dealer and have some left over.
Slider 06-02-2007, 09:11 PM ............
ScottH 06-02-2007, 09:40 PM ScottH. Amsoil Saber Professional.
That stuff is GREAT!
I used it in my pocketbike when I raced them. 39cc 12hp 2-strokes. Those were a BLAST!!!
Let me look and see if I have any left.
That stuff is formulated to be mixed at 100:1, we ran it at 50:1. I just could not bring myself to run it that way.
Tim Mc 06-02-2007, 11:04 PM Larc,
anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 ounces is what I use. I think my last mix was 3 which is close to 40:1. Yes it can leave a little residue on the plug. More (richer mix) oil does increase the compression a little also.

ScottH 06-02-2007, 11:10 PM Just a little info.
If there is more oil-per-gallon that is actually a leaner mix. It does have more oil in it but less fuel, so it is leaner as far as the air/fuel ratio.
On the pocketbikes if we changed the oil ratio we would adjust the jetting in the carb.
If you guys are running the Walbro 171's or similar "diaphram" carbs I assume there is an air mixture screw.
willyplankhead 06-03-2007, 10:48 AM think me and brandon mixed ours a 100:1. 5 gallons and one i belive 8 ounce bottle of amsoil
Slider 06-03-2007, 01:15 PM ........

Echeconnee 06-07-2007, 06:10 PM Yea, I figured that out the first lap around the track with Randy Brown's car, whole different ball game! BTW Thanks alot for getting me hooked RANDY!!! All I needed was "another" hobby. It's a wonder I'm still married, lol.It won't take ya to long.Just throw out that 1/10 scale mentality first, and you'll be good to go.
1Starpower 06-07-2007, 07:33 PM Cliff, that maybe the reason you are still married, ya'll don't see each other enough to get into any fights!
