irvan36mm 06-01-2007, 12:23 PM Can Billy Bruce do it again? How hot does it get down there at that time of the year? Right now (Friday June 1),it's around the low-to-mid 80's. It usually doesn't get to the mid-90's until late June to mid July.
katf1sh 06-01-2007, 08:26 PM way too hot for the orc gang! muahhahahahaahhaha

David Butts 06-01-2007, 08:56 PM oh i am! don't you worry! 43 laps coming up! muahahhahahahha
Oh my! With a little magic calculator work. It would take an average laptime of 5.7209302 to run a 43 4:06.00 I say bring it on Katdaddy:thumbsup: Two years ago the second place speedrun car(mine)ran a 5.8 and now 5.7's are being run by a select few in a 4 minute race. I think it's time for me to become a full time turnmarshall. I just can't hang with the fast guys anymore.

katf1sh 06-21-2007, 02:18 PM weather looks good!
David Butts 06-24-2007, 09:50 AM Aren't all races supposed to be that fun? What an awesome time and did anyone else notice that Da'Monster really didn't eat aswell as it has in the past? Carnage, We want carnage! Not the realitively clean racing we all saw yesterday.
Well I guess Steve Shorts trailer almost going up in smoke(ala Cheech and Chong) was almost carnage but the parts count was way down over the past few big races at the fastest track the series visits.
Who was driving Katf1sh's 13.5 car yesterday anyway? That guy was good:rolleyes:
cneyedog 06-24-2007, 10:32 AM ya know thats 2 races in a row that Katfish has let other people borrow his car and they have run really well .......... hmmmmmm ? ...... hahaha.
FINALLY ! ........ I got my car to run well at the monster mile AKA Hobbyworld ......... I was'nt the fastest of the fast, but I feel good that I ran well and joined the 40 lap club friday night during the club race (along with mother focar himself Katfish) and did it when it counted most during the focar race.... yeah, im pattin myself on the back but, it just feels good to finally run well there.....
Thanks Kat for doing the series and organizing it all, Thanks to everyone @ Hobbyworld and the Jacksonville boys for all the help in track prep and everything else.........especially George Ramos and BUTTS (tm) .......arrrrrrrrrrrr ! - I had a good time, but I like playing with my little car ..... .... Last but certainly not least thanks to all the racers for coming and making it the fun time that it was ......... I have a blast racing with all of you. Until the next race ............ take care ............ cya.

David Butts 06-24-2007, 11:02 AM Thanks to everyone @ Hobbyworld and the Jacksonville boys for all the help in track prep and everything else.........especially George Ramos and BUTTS (tm) .......arrrrrrrrrrrr ! -
Thanks Rich but I can't take any credit for the track prep or racing at HW at all. I'm just a racer there who pays his entry fee like all the rest.
The guys who really do all the work around the place deserve all the credit and I'll take none as I don't deserve it.
Roy Phillps preps the track and keeps the grass mowed and spiffs up the area and he's also the one that secured the ground up asphalt for the driveway, George Ramos, Stoney Mullins, Tom Marlowe and an a couple others do the rest and on saturday, Roy's daughter Amy kept the garbage cans emptied and swept up the pit areas. There are others that I haven't mentioned but it's a realitively small group that do it all. Huge thanks goes out to them from me because all they ever get for it is to listen to the others that don't do a thing gripe. It's a thankless job and I paid my dues there a long long time ago.
I will say that as a whole, The racers this year did a great job of picking up after themselves, Very little loose trash was seen after everyone packed up and headed out and the guys and girl I just mentioned appreciated that too. Reverse appreciation at an rc race?
parrott88 06-24-2007, 04:16 PM What an awesome day of racing. Congrats to Tom P. for taking home the Gold in Pro 19t and 10.5. Thanks Katfish for the series, And thanks to all the guys at hobbyworld that keep it topnotch and an awesome place to race.
Rich... You don't have to pat yourself on the back, I'll tell you you had an awesome car for the race. Along with about 10 others, What great competition.
Jerry
irvan36mm 06-25-2007, 07:14 AM ......Who was driving Katf1sh's 13.5 car yesterday anyway? That guy was good:rolleyes: Don't know who was driving it,butt (tm) he was fast. Somebody named "David Juan Pablo Butts-Montoya",maybe?????
RCThunder 06-25-2007, 03:55 PM Another great race!! That is awesome guys. Hated to miss it but was there in spirit!
