:wave: Hello again...rec'd 2 Dave Blaney 1/64 scale Racing Champions Chase Cars from 2001 in the mail this afternoon...
Both cars (BP green & gold paint scheme) come with a rain cover(one ON the car,one OFF the car) which all did in the series...what makes this package cool, is that instead of the usual card with Dave Blaney pictured on it, each one comes with a Piece of his actual Firesuit,mounted on the card.(All BLACK in color)...I've heard these could be out of 25 Chase CARDS in the program. Some cards from that year,actually SAY,1 of 25...these do not.
Later in the program, and you see these from time to time on Ebay, the firesuits & steel chase CARDS, were 1 of 50...
I've got an M&M 1/24 scale car that has a piece of Ken Schraders Firesuit from '01,as well...it has part of the M&M logo(in brown) against a yellow background.
Does anyone out there,know what else was available re:Firesuit/Steel for the first year of the Chase program?

I have four 2001 1/64 chases with driver autographs on the cards. Two each of Johnny Benson and Ken Schrader. These are the most limited in the '01 chase series. BTW, the first year of the chase program was '96 with the Chrome Chase Cars. I have complete sets of 96,97 and 98. Drop me a line if you need a pair of the autographed ones & we can discuss a trade. Hi Alan...yes I'm aware the Chase program started in '96...sorry...what I meant was the 1st year for the Firesuit/Steel Chase...My brother & I have been lucky to acquire most of the Chrome chase cars from '96 on,...right now we're hoping to add to the firesuit/steel single or double chase cards, of which we've been fortunate in obtaining quite a few of the different cards.
RC site doesnt go far enough back to show what was available in '01...I've just obtained an '01 Stock car steel 1/24 J.Benson 3-color off of ebay...assume he probably has a 1/64 scale chase card (FS/Steel) as well...Anyone have any others from '01 so we can find out what we're missing?
Yes,the autograph cars are cool...we paid a fellow in Michigan a little bit of $ for Benson/Valvoline, Schrader/M&M and T.Labonte/Tony the Tiger autograph cards/cars(1/64). Are those some of the extras you have, or is your CAR different...I know the autographs can come with different paint schemes...
These were always fun to look for each year,and it's nice to talk to a fellow collector of the chase cars.
Let me know if your cars are different on the autographs...could be interested.
