These are pics of what I did to modify my Matchbox slotlees Porsche' to run on slotted track in addition to the guide pin.The rear quarter panels were removed ,shaved a bit & remounted & resculpted so car was not so widw as before as the pictures illustrate.

You took the quarters off and on to narrow the car up a bit? Who the heck does THIS?! You are as crazy as Bill Hall, eh! (looks beautiful, by the way!) :thumbsup:
Did you make the mods so there was passing-room on the track, Neal?
How did you avoid scrambling the factory deco? (slot-o-holic minds want to know.)
(Bill, I thought you really liked the PORSCHE. What IS a Porshce, anyway? A VW with an egg on top? :) )

Dear joez;
The mod's & dremelation to the quarter panels were precisely to give passing room on the track.Other wise there would be incessent sidewiping with other cars.Still too wide for the passing block but good enough not to take more than half of the track width.The factory deco was then restored after the plastic work was done with masking tape & paint.A lot of work went into resculpting the cooling intake between the door & rear wheel.Lots of super glue ,green putty & filing/sanding.
