Off topic?
Maybe.
But, it is about a facet of the movies that we modelers watch,
and build ships of.

I bought some of the STAR WARS postage stamps today! :hat:
Two sheets, (15 stamps on each sheet), of images from the
entire six movie saga should make mailing my bills a little more fun
for a couple months!

Some time ago, we voted on our favorite stamp from the collection
to become a whole sheet by itself. My post office did not have it.

Did anyone get those?

I picked up two sheets, too. But didn't even think of asking about the single stamp sheet.

I found the answer to the missing stamps. From the Post Office
STAR WARS stamps website:

It was a classic duel: light vs. dark, Rebel Alliance vs. Galactic Empire, good vs. evil. But, in the end, the revered Jedi Master Yoda bested the evil Sith Lord, Darth Vader.

Thank you to the hundreds of thousands who voted! Look for the Yoda single-stamp sheet to be released this fall.

I never thought about being a stamp collecter and even consider it an odd hobby suited for eccentrics. Several years ago however, when the Universal monster stamps came out, I got several sheets and the collectable folders, for no other reason than I just had to have them. Now I feel an urge to buy these Star Wars stamps as well. Is this how it starts? Oh no, I hope I'm not becoming a stamp collector!!!

A few years back, I got some of the Looney Tunes stamps because of the subject matter. A little later (I think it was later), I bought the whole sheet of the 50-state stamps that were designed to look like the old "big letter" postcards, mainly because I love that sort of design.

But maybe there should be some sort of special agency watching you, just the same. Do you have more than two cats? I think if you have more than two cats and you show signs of engaging in a hobby like stamp collecting, you're a potential troublemaker! ;)

So I'm eccentric? ;) I am still going to take one sheet of stamps, and get 1st Day of Issue postmarks. For years I was into stamps, as well as coins, model railroading, comics, trading cards, black power guns....and much more. Now it is just models, and DVDs.

Why is the Post Office selling drunk Yoda stamps?

If you lived in that slimy mudhole Yoda was exiled to, you'd
be drunk too!
