Hy, I bought two Johnny lighting cars of e-bay, the cars came with front tires that don't touch the track. Is that the way there made? I'm new to this stuff but i wouldn't think they run like that. thanks

I would check the guide pin to see if it is to long. Next I would check the shoe tension. Might be to tight and holding the car up in the air..

Check which hole the front axle is in. I've seen axles put in the higher hole to adjust for the body without considering tire contact.

Also check the front body post screw, make sure the head isn't touching the track.

Dpb73, can you post a pic of the offending car? That is a strange one. I've bought plenty of JL cars and never had this problem.

i found the problem the guide pin was to long. we are running a lifelike set ,we got at the goodwill. thats what got us into this stuff.so well be getting the giant set or the big block set. hey what brand is good for a 10 year old. the cars we got fishtail which is fun for me but hard on the kid.

LifeLike with the additional magnets to hold to the rails allows the kids to run almost flat out w/o deslotting. They can be a pain in the neck for us old farts. (trying to keep an eye on the car)
