scootr117 05-26-2007, 09:14 PM bump for the springfield race
southernford246 05-26-2007, 09:38 PM what are the diminsions of the track???
kennyrice 05-27-2007, 09:20 PM BIG!!!! track will me close to 40 second lap times.
southernford246 05-28-2007, 07:44 AM every body tells me that and im just getting into dirt so that means nothin i wated the size in feet
scootr117 05-28-2007, 09:58 AM I guess Dkingston will need to field that one....But keep this in mind. Fastraxx has an average lap time of about 19 seconds ...odds are it will be twice the size to do 40 sec lap times.
southernford246 05-28-2007, 11:52 AM ya that is true
kennyrice 05-28-2007, 12:45 PM Fastraxx is 110' x 60'. I would imagine that the CCF track will be 160' x 90' with some very technical sections and some rythem jumps. A track doesn't have to be huge in square footage to have longer or short lap times. In fact you could very easily make a track this size and have 25 second lap times by building a fast track. Jumps, turns, etc is what slows a track down. So your question was legit. Steve King is one of the best there is when building tracks, everyone in RC offroad knows him and his tracks, so you can bet it will be fun.

some one should go to this site and fill all this out and see if rc car action would come out and cover it
southernford246 05-31-2007, 10:27 AM dose anyone know if the track will be watered or not?
kennyrice 05-31-2007, 12:36 PM Check out the flyer.. RC Car is one of the sponsors and there will be a two page section in the mag the following months. They will also be sending mags to give away during the race.
As for water. The track area will be built the weekend before and heavily watered all week in preparation for the two day event. Remember practice on Friday, racing on Saturday.

southernford246 05-31-2007, 08:30 PM cus im tryin to find what kind of tires to order and run holeshots mtr's or crime fighters mtr's and what gearing to run
kennyrice 06-01-2007, 11:33 AM CF or Gators to qualify, if the track grooves up, you might want to have a set of hole shots, or Switches. I personally like the the MS Gator with the orange OFNA foams.
southernford246 06-02-2007, 10:17 PM hey kenny are you goin to be at the shop monday
trinity_racer 06-03-2007, 05:53 PM Will there be pictures of the track before the race?
southernford246 06-03-2007, 06:38 PM i think there might be the track will be built the weekend befor the fair
southernford246 06-04-2007, 12:44 PM hey dose anybody know if we will be able to see the track befor the pratice?????????
dkingston 06-04-2007, 01:56 PM If you are able to see the track before, it will only be a day or two before the race. Certainly not long enough to place orders for tires.
Gator, K2, Crimes, Holeshots, Boas, etc should all work fairly well.
southernford246 06-04-2007, 02:40 PM no i just want to look at it to see what gearing i should u on my revo
dkingston 06-04-2007, 10:42 PM For a REVO I would suggest, Gators, Crimes and possibly Switch 2.0's
