I bought a used Craftmen riding mower with an 11 HP B&S motor no 252707. It seems to run good, but has a hard time starting when hot or cold.
When cold and I choke it, it seems to dump a lot of fuel in the carb, and floods it. I opened up the air cleaner and a little starter fluid got it going right away.
When its hot and sits a while, I tried to start it in the fast position. Again no start but alot of gas smell. Put it on low speed and it started after a few cranks.
I think it might be a carburetor valve setting. Can someone give me any idea how to set up the valves? I think there are 3 of them?
Thanks,
Rick
