Hi all, well it seems like Im in the same boat as a lot of you guys...joining the Muscle machine collecting scene way too late.....

As is usually the case with most things down here in New Zealand (look it up on a globe if ya have too! :p ) we get everything last (well in most cases anyway)

My collecting started with a 1/18th scale orange 69 Camaro, and continued on with about 12 or so more of the 1/18th scale variety....soon stores stopped getting newer shipments in (and i ran out of room) so i decided to do a collecting run on 1/64th scale diecasts....currently I have around 50 (estimate only could even be more) Including several of the limited or rarer releases as well.....

Anyway to my Question....its related to the Nascar releases (not sure if anyone can help me) My (MM) Nascar collection started with the single 69 Camaro (must be a trend... ;) ) and soon I had one of each of the first?? release...

Now I have just obtained (well still waiting for it to arrive :cry: ) a 1/24th scale Kasey Kahne Dodge Number 9 "Hybrid" Muscle Machine...these releases have clear windows,opening boot and a more Nascar style monstor motor, anyway I've been unable to find out much info on these "Hybrid" releases...the only documentation I have found is on Ebay saying they are a "limited" release, and one seller even goes as far as saying that this diecast is limited to a run of only 288 cars!!! Does anyone out there have any info on these, or know where I can find info on these Hybrids???

P.S. I read someones comments on how awful Muscle Machines are, and how they are just TOYS!...yeah well they might be just TOYS to some, but collectors see them differently :tongue: ....to me the "crazyness" of the customising is the attraction........where engines through the bonnet with no hair-dryers (turbo's) attached were what Hot Rods, and Custom cars were all about.... :p
