I had an interesting find at a local stock car racing shop today, and thought I would stop here first for information. I picked up six 1/43 Solido cars that appear to be from a "Retro Le Mans" series. Each is affixed to a black plastic base, inside a clear acrylic box. Each box includes what appear to be the original documents that came with the piece, including the "warnings" page, a sheet with a black-and-white picture of the car, and a set of stickers that could be placed on the car. I found the following:
1973 Lola T280, yellow, car #61
1957 Ferrari TCR, yellow, car #28
1971 Ligier JS3, yellow/green, car #24 and car #32
1070 Alfa Romeo 33/3, red, car #37 and car #38
I'm not even completely sure these are "vintage" pieces, but they don't look recent either. Anyone have any further information on these pieces? When were they produced? Was there additional packaging (like a box)? Are there other sources of information on these? Many thanks.
I'm also posting this inquiry in the 1/43 forum.
