View Full Version : New AW's Here Soon dlw 05-16-2007, 02:56 PM Just got the tracking from Slots-n-Stuff........My order is on its way, should arrive Friday the 18th. dlw 05-18-2007, 11:26 AM Just arrived from the FedEx truck (Thanks Ted), and am checking them out. The GTX is cool, but like every MOPAR, it is too high off the chassis, and the hood has an upwards warp (Daytona). It has the same stance as the Acme (Roadrunner) Stocker. I can see the rear of the chassis through the wheelwells. It's more of a 4x4 than the Hummer. The Harsky & Stutch also has the 'souped up' stance, which hurts the appearance. The other 4 (Hummer, GT40, Firebird, Nomad) are very nicely done. Tom, something is getting lost in translation between the test shot and the finished product on the Torino and GTX. As for the AWTO's, All look pretty good. The Torino and Stude sits a little high, The Chappy and Willys sits almost perfectly. The AMX is a little high in the front (ala the AW/JL Vipers), otherwise, it's perfect. The 300 has a hint of 'soupage', otherwise it looks cool. Nice thing about Thunderjets......They're easy to lower, so fixing their stances' is a quick fix. My jewel case cars came with smoked windows, whlie the clampacks came with 3 green windows (Willys, Dodge 300, Studebaker), and the AMX, Torino, and Chappy came with blue windows. The jewel-case XT's all have blue windows, and the clams have red windows. No red chassis here. Also just noticed my clam Torino (XT) and GTX are less souped up than their jeweled counterparts, perhaps they're off the brackets. Overall, a nice job on the cars. The GT40 will definiely be the hit. The AMX & Torino will probably be more desired among the TO lot (for obvious reasons). The Chappy is nice, the yellow one may get some attention. roadrner 05-18-2007, 01:11 PM Great. Maybe I'll have a couple of extra boxes sitting at home this evening. Could be a nice Friday night in the Batcave tweaking some bods. Fingers crossed. :) rr vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
