Several years ago I HAD to have a model of the 1965 Targa Florio GT40 Roadster. Some may recall .....Maybe not, the WIP stayed on the board for quite somtime due to research on the car. I was at Wally's today and BAM!!! a HWs version of the GT40 Roadster. While not accurate with chassis #111 it maybe comparable to one of the later roadsters that were campaigned later in '65 o '66. Anyway it pretty nice so I had to get one. I still like my replica better. And my rear deck opens to view the engine.

The hotwheels is the GTX1 roadster of the new GT line, not from the 60's. I got one as well, but mine is yellow, I'm definitely going to be looking for teh white.

Yeah I saw the GTX1 on the card. Is there really a GTX1? I figured they just needed something to call it. :rolleyes: The front end venting and spare tyre well will help out on some of the older modifications.

I don't remember all the details... A yellow one was at the sema show, I have seen it onther colors (obviously the white here) I believe it was limited to 500 and was a 48K upgrade to your existing GT

It is a vision of my colleague Kip Ewing, a Ford engineer involved with the Ford GT program. Genaddi Design Group did the work for the SEMA show car, and now offers a "GTX1 package" for production Ford GT's.
