Started with a Model Motoring 67 Chevelle. Hacked off roof and started to fill back to make it a 2 seater. Interior(weird jack's 55 chevy) cut to fit. I'm having trouble with the putty on the trunk lid :freak: , but I will keep plugging away at it.

are you gonna do a contoured cover behind the seats, a la Thunderbird?

Win...

Yer off to a great start!!... I wondered about the rear deck too. First thing that came to my mind when I saw what you were up to was that old HW Redline "Classic 57 T-Bird". There's a lot of real estate on that 67 Chevelle's rear deck lid. Could probably fit some dual contoured headrests on that bad-boy, that would be real nice. For some reason I always liked the treatment that Mattel's designers gave to this casting. Very 1950's-60's concept-ish, but yet not too over the top...... Go Win Go... Win Win Win !!!

Win,

Great idea on the chevelle. 2 seater..hhhmmm never thought of that one.
Tj has a great idea on the headrests. Would look real cool to. I can remember that AMT custom models came with a piece that had 2 headrests built in to mold on the rear for a 2 seat appearence. It started at the front by the seat backs and gently slopped to the tail end. Gave it a super custom look with very little work. I agree that the hotwheels and model companies had some great custom ideas in the 60's..

Haven't given much thought to the trunk lid yet. Maybe when and IF I can get it to look the way I want I will do something with it. I kind of like the long sleek look though. Time will tell. And thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement.
