Today is May 10, 2007 and Galli Mods Xtreme will be closed due to reconstruction of the off road track. Sorry for the inconvience we are constantly trying to improve and a new track layout is one way to start. We are also bringing in new clay. We will be up and running for the following weekend which will be Saturday May 19th for practice and Sunday May 20th for all out racing. See you there :thumbsup:

5-20-07 GalliMods-Xtreme Racing today was good the new track layout is smooth & fast there was 1/8-scale buggy, nitro MT & 1/10-scale buggy/truck.... Dont know what happend to the rest of the guys I guess scared of a little rain. lol Anyway the rain DID hold out & we had alot of fun. Here's a drawing of the new layout, will add pics when we get a chance to take some...

P.S. - The new dirt that has been added/mix in is great traction...... Holeshots or some kind of mini pins would work great.

1st off I will start by saying the oval track is really the only thing thats happening at XRC mainly because the oval guys did most if not all of the work & up-keep them selfs. Most of the oval guys are retired from work & had time to get the oval track together & all the guys know eachother & talk about whats going on from week to week.

As far as the offroad track there has been guys/racers that took off from there everyday jobs to go & help/get the offroad track done BUT with no (John.G.) one announcing anything/posting a race Schedule/Etc...Etc... how dose John think racers are going to come. Nobody knows!

I myself & others HAVE talked to him on the phone & inperson many times but still no announcements or race Schedule about XRC-2007 offroad race season OR about the oval track!!! The ONLY word that dose get out there is the word from a hand full of racers NOT JOHN!!! Poeple/racers WANT TO HEAR IT FROM JOHN.G. the owner of XRC!!! I'm sure I'm not the only one that has told John he NEEDS to listen to the concerns of racers to make XRC a hot spot.

I know this is John's 1st year at XRC & he needs to get over that 1st year hump BUT if he just listen to the racers & posted a race schedule XRC would have seen alot more action on the offroad track then it has so far. NOTHING! The opening day at XRC was a BIG turn out ONLY because guys like me put the word out there but now we dont know whats going on (no race schedule ) so we cant post anything... I just want to add there are many racers that are willing to help John at XRC but we need him to help himself to.......

the problem is too that another track in connecticut has trophy races every feakin weekend and all who's all goes there.

I just heard that Galli Mods Xtreme RC Racing is having a trophy race on July 22nd. Classes look like Truggy, 1/8th Buggy, Nitro Monster and 1/10th Electric Mod Truck. It's a great track with great people in New Milford CT.

Trophies for the top three finishers of the A Main AND B Main for Truggy, 1/8th Buggy, Nitro MT and 1/10th Stadium Truck. Winner of the C main also gets a trophy. The layout is being changed as well so come on down 7/15 for some practice before the big race on 7/22.

hey guys,
The track has been expanded and is all ready. We ran on wednesday and all looks good. Saturday practice was cancled due to friday nights rain, but everything is in great shape. Today I added a few sprinklers, so we'll se how that works out. The new section is a sandy, clay material that seems to give good bite and holds moisture.

I was hoping to head down to GMX on Sunday for some practice before next week's battery blast, upon visiting the official GMX web site I saw this blurb:

"As of today September 8, 2007 there will be no gas racing or practice until further notice. Check back regularly as this could change soon."
