RCThunder 05-08-2007, 12:05 PM We have our big carpet race coming up next month at Minnreg. Race #2 of the FCC - Florida Carpet Cup. Almost 100 entries last January at the race. This one ought to be awesome. Racing inside with AC, tables and chairs provided, great food, tons of room for trailers and more. Hopefully some out of state guys can come and run with the tough competition Florida has to offer. Practice Saturday night. Racing starts Sunday 9am. CYA here!!

boatanchor48 05-22-2007, 06:46 PM mike
are you up for some 1/12 racing on saturday?
RCThunder 05-22-2007, 09:43 PM Actually I am thinking about it Mike! I want to get a car. If not I am going to use Mike Bean's again. I got spanked last time and want to at least make the A-main. Actually had fun doing that...
RickS 05-23-2007, 01:55 AM Mike,
I am toying with the idea of running oval on Sunday but I haven't done the LTO thing in ages. I take it that all 19 turn classes including Sportsman must use the Ultrabird, is that right?
Rick Smith
RCThunder 05-23-2007, 09:59 AM Hi Rick. Good to see ya on here!! Yea we have on the rules Ultrabirds only. I can hook you up if you want to race so see me Saturday or when you get there - no problem at all!!
BADDOG17 05-23-2007, 10:57 AM I bet we have alot more in the 4300/10.5 class.
I know of about 4-5 more people who now own a brushless set up. Including me!
I think I can make the A.....????
I am pumped about the Carpet race. Gots a new solid chassis car.....gots some new batterys. Gots lots of confidence. Still gots bad spelling.
RCThunder 05-23-2007, 11:00 AM Yuu Cpel Gud Maan Wat Yo Tawlking bouyt!.
RickS 05-23-2007, 11:25 AM Cool!!! Thanks Mike. I'll take you up on that offer! I took Friday off work to practice so see you then!
RCThunder 05-23-2007, 11:29 AM Doors open around 5ish Friday. We can't get in before then. You still got your 17 body? I remember that one from Thunder.
RickS 05-23-2007, 12:16 PM You still got your 17 body? I remember that one from Thunder.
No, I'm starting over with oval. Looking for a good used newer roller to get back into it. There is alot of new cars to choose from. I'm leaning towards Hyperdrive's Pro 3 slider for parts availability and lots of support here on Hobby Talk. But I'm open to suggestions! :p
RCThunder 05-23-2007, 12:28 PM We have a few guys at our local track racing them and love them. Are you still in Tampa? We race Sundays and have a great time!

RCThunder 05-24-2007, 10:25 AM Yes you can't go wrong with that car! Lots of guys have awesome runs with it on carpet and MTR> which will be good to get a good setup for Sundays.
RCThunder 05-27-2007, 10:42 AM There is no where else to be in 3 weeks! I am hoping we get 100 oval cars. It is looking good for that!
