hey guys, i was wondering if anybody could give me some input on this rc car. my friend and i have been talking about trading my 22" CRT monitor for his traxxas t maxx 2.5r rc car. iv owned 2 nitro cars 3-4 years ago, but i honestly dont know a lot about them, i just got it for fun. can this rc car take a beating, and is it easy to maintain is all im really concerned about. the engine is on the newer side because he replaced it. it has a couple after marker parts in it, and he takes good care of it. (he dosnt send it off jumps or flip it) is this a good trade? i just want something i can use without worry of flipping it or breaking something. thanks.

The Tmaxx is one tough customer.The truck will take a pretty good beating.I would check the truck out real good before finalizing the deal.Check the motor for good compression-check the suspension for bent shock shafts & hinge pins etc.Just give it a thorough once-over.Traxxas makes quality R/C stuff.There are plenty of aftermarket stuff out there for this truck.Plenty of stock replacement parts too.Is it the 2.5R or 3.3 Maxx? I have a Traxxas Revo and love this truck.Very durable & fast.Make sure you dont run the motor on the lean side or you'll seize the piston!!!
