Hi Everyone,
I have been a long term reader however have posted little. About six months ago I put a novak 4.5 brushless motor in my evader and since then have been stripping differential gears. I got sick of opening my transmission every week so I made a prototype aluminum gear. After four months of testing and hard abuse it has proven to be incredible. I put in an aluminum idler from the nitro so I had a full aluminum transmission and haven't had any problems with the metal on metal gears stripping eachother. I have the ability to mass produce this gear and am seriously considering it however I would like to see how many people would be interested.
Thanks
Mark

I have yet to determine a price, what do you feel would be a fair price?

Although Duratraxx is not a real racing vehicle, it is a beginer friendly model, that alot of people like, especially bashing in the back yard or down your local street. With that being said, I myself have an evader bx buggy, the market does not, and continues to shun any aftermarket pieces. It's like the sportwerks raven. I bought it for my son after the buggy, it was a nice entry level 1/10th truck. Alum. shocks,19t motor, alot of nice features. I put a sidewinder brushless in it and it ate up the plastic planetary gears, every couple of runs. Guess what, no aftermarket parts for the raven either. Also hard to find replacement parts without having to order and some lhs's won't even order for you. My opinion is, YES, I do think people would buy things like this. If not to race, but just have some fun!!!! I don't know why these companies put out a low price starter without the ability to make it better, faster, and more fun. With all that being said, we need more people or companies to come up with more ideas like this.
Good job and just my 2 cents worth!!!! :dude:

Thanks General, looks like all have to order online, most of my lhs's don't stock parts, and there's still a big market for hopups. This is a very decent truck. Do you own one?

It has been some time since this post has been up but I need to find this guy and he does not accept emails from members. I built a custom rock crawler using two evader transmissions and the gears do no hold up well. If I could get the metal diff gears from mark and the metal idler from the nitro like he did my problems would be solved. Does anyon eknow how to get in touch with him or know of a metal diff gear for the electric ST transmission?
