Just FYI for everyone, rumor has it that Target stores will begin stocking Greenlight cars this fall.

I sure hope they don't.

Won't help me out, I'm not a doorwarmer.

I sure hope they do. I am not a doorwarmwer but will use the DCPI to get backstock pulled. If its not HW's they will often pull it out if you have the number. Maybe I will score my first GM "in the wild" Wouldn't that be sweet!

Interesting. What is DCPI and how does that work? Does it also work in other stores, or just Target?

Thanks!

I believe that is the scanner that all stores have - it scans the UPC of the item and often shows if there is stock in the backroom.

I hope they do stock them - that may finally give me a chance at Green Machine. I have never seen Greenlights in any store except for several stragglers at Kmart when they first came out. :freak:

If they stock them then production will increase again. I liked Greenlight lower production numbers. I guess you can't stand in the way of progress.

Not all Target have the end aisle scanners. About half do. But all store workers can get the handheld scanner and punch in the number to check for
backstock. Target does sometimes have backstock unlike Wally which
frowns on any backstock.

I think for GL to survive they need to pick up customers like Target

considering k-mart and tru are supposed to. and between the 2 we've seen 3 12 car cases, all 3 in k-mart, i find it hard to believe.
here greenlight is non-existent and frustrating to people who collect. they couldn't care less any more. it's all other brands. greenlight got us excited over little.

I`ll still collect them regardless of how many they make.I collect cars that I like and not because they might be worth something 10-15 years from now.
I still don`t see them hitting the shelves even if they do try and sell them.Scalpers will get anything good as soon as they open.
The scanners are the only way I`ve ever scored anything good at target but all scalpers know the deal with that also.
With gas prices affecting everything I don`t see too many more stores carrying anything diecast and selling anything great.
