I was just over at walthers.com, which sells all kinds of items for HO scale trains. They have just added on their "Announced in May 2007" vehicles page that they will be carrying the 1/87 Fresh Cherries (listing the Pinto Wagon, Bobcat, Tempo, Pacer and Gremlin). What's more, they list an upcoming 1974 Hornet and 1971 Mustang Sportroof in 1/87. They will be sold for $4.50 each. They aren't available yet, but it will be nice to have a good, affordable place to acquire these little beauties! This is a great place to buy from (I've ordered from them MANY times), and I'm really glad to see that they will be having the Fresh Cherries.

IF you can find them. I only ever so one vehicle in the stores (and there are 5 different Wal-Marts near me), and paid much more than 4.50 when I got them off the bay.

I'll ask Maurice to sell them at Fest then!!! Sounds like an even hotter item than I thought?

I wonder if HobbyLobby carries them in the train section?. I know they sell 1:87th. I'll have to check them out today.

Hobby Lobby won't have the Cherries, I don't even think they carry the Boley line anymore. As far as I know it's either Walmart or E-bay. Soon, you'll be able to buy them through Walthers at 4.50 each. Hopefully, for the higher price you get 2 new colors. Wait until the Hondas come out, you'll see a blurred line from the shelf to the register they will go so fast!

$2.47 is the current price at WalMart. I look forward to Walthers carrying these cars. At least then, I can get a few more, without having to spend all that gas money in hunting down every Wal-Mart within a 75 mile radius..

Cheers,
Harry

I bought two each of the Pinto, Gremlin, and the Pacer at a model train show 5 May 07. The lock that holds the cars in the box was to tight on the green Pinto, it now has flat spots on the bottom of the rear wheels. You might want to check you own cars. I payed $3.95 a peace, and the guy I bought them and several other makes of cars all in 1/87, said that there is a shortage of zinc so all of the diecast stuff is going up. :freak:
