Todd Putnam 05-02-2007, 05:58 PM Zapping, (or saturating) a magnet is quite simple. You should just fully saturate the magnets, (no timing-altering voodoo, as it doesn't work). Don't try to demagnetize then resaturate the magnets, as 99% of the magnetizers currently available aren't strong enough, and you'll just end up killing a good can. RPM 05-02-2007, 08:55 PM Thanks Todd for the good advice. I did try to zap the trailing edges (backside) of the magnets and then resaturate the magnets to neutral flux to add timing. Your right it doesn't work!! :( erock1331 05-02-2007, 09:40 PM Only class I could ever see zapping timing in and make it work would be in the 19T 0 degree that ARCOR had a while back. I know some were zapping timing in at BMS cause the track was long and flowing and was on caps so the added RPM seemed to work. People tried it on the rug and the normal motors were quicker cause of the torque. Al Spina Fan 05-02-2007, 09:44 PM Many moons ago, when Todd worked for the darkside and Stevie Fuime and Aaron Rand were the kings of K&N, we went to the winter blast and zapped our stock motors..(well Dr. Voodoo did). Outrageous speed up front but we dumped at the 2 minute mark. The smoke pouring from the motors was crazy. Guess we should have dropped a tooth. Since then, Mr. Parisano has learned a thing or two and I have two ex wives. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
