We were fortunate to have our local paper do a full page article on our local RC racing. I already have received a few emails and calls about getting started in RC. Just wanted to pass this good news along....

Good artical. Helps me explain what I do, and why. Racing R/C cars is hard for some people to grasp. It is also not that great of a pickup line. "Hey i cant go out with you this weekend, I have to go and race my R/C car". Oh well it is fun anyway!

pepe,

Like with most covereage...make sure it's solicited...

Don't wait for THEM to come to YOU...contact THeM and make sure they KNOW the event is happening plenty early and remind them often.

Good to hear Jon,david had a radio promo at the track today but we got rained out,it was really to promote a promotion for the station itself but he was going to use it to promote the track also, he told me he had some things planned to promote the nats as we get closer to the date.

Hopefully we can get some local coverage for the paved oval nats this year.Pepe- Look up the local TV stations websites in your area & email or call the Sports Dept or News Dept and explain your event. I did that one year at our first FOCARS race date here and 2 out of the 3 local news stations sent someone out to cover our race. One station came back out 3 weeks later to shoot some more footage. It works!
