Chico's R/C Speedway will be kicking off it's 2007 season starting Saturday May 5th. Races are scheduled to start at 5:30 pm, signups end at 5:15. Big Block EDM will be running a 100 lap A-Main this week with Small Block EDM going a 75 lap A-Main. All other classes will be running a normal 5 minute A-main. Heat races for all classes will be 4 minutes. Classes we are starting out with this season will be as follows:
Big Block EDM 19 turn, all WDRA rules apply for Big Block EDM w/exception of 19t motor rule.
Small Block EDM Stock, all WDRA rules apply
Pro Trucks, open mod motors
Touring Car Late Models, open mod motors
We are willing to run other classes also such as Sprint cars or 1/18th scale if we can get enough support for them. need at least 3 cars to make a class.
With the Big Block EDM class, We will be starting out as the same rules package we ran in 2006 with the 19 turn motor limit. Depending on input from the racers, we may be switching this class over to an open mod motor. We will be talking to the racers in the next few weeks and get a general concensus before making a decision.
