Take one lowly Renault R5 (aka Le Car), remove engine from under bonnet & stick a 1.4 litre turbo where the rear seats used to be. Forget the front wheel drive - power goes to the rear. Add generously wide arches & wheels to fill them - then go mental.

Thanks Ray - the standard roadcar had 160 bhp, although the factory rally cars were rumoured to have 350 bhp in peak tune.

It would be hard to keep tires on a small car like that with that much horsepower!

I loved the Le Car ,vague shifting, big sunroof, and lack of power.
