Here's another score from craigslist. I scored all 4 of these cars for $25, as well as a box that had some mixed up track pieces. half tyco mostly curve pieces with a few straights but a 25 volt power pack that works and 2 working plunger controllers. It also had a bunch of old (70's-ish) aurora track sections, all curves and one squeeze track with one good controller one bad and a working power pack.

The tyco porsche is incomplete, didnt have a pickup assembly, front axle, or glass. The camaro is a pile. Broken window post, missing rear bumper, front axle and one rear wheel, and the body is cracked in 2 places, but it runs. The chevelle stocker had a clean crack in one window post which will super glue right up to be invisible. It had a blue tip drag arm though, and cleaned up real nice. The rescue caprice is obviously the reason for the purchase. The grille is gone as is the siren/swamp cooler thing in the rear window but it was hardly run and after a slight soak in some dish soap the body is damn near mint outside of the missing stuff. The motor screams and the lights flash perfectly. Anyone know about what that car is worth? I know its rare, but I dont know just how rare. I cant remember ever seeing one for grabs on eBay!.

Can't give you a $ value but, according to the Bob Beers book, it's ranked a three as rareness. His scale ranges from 0-5 with a three being desirable. Zero is rare and a five is considered very common. Anyway, still a nice find.

I think any of those cop cars with all the doo dads in working order are worth a buck or two. The other stuff is ebay-bound, but Im torn on that rescue car. At first I was thinking it'd be cash in the bank, but after running it a few laps with those lights going off, its just so damn cool! Still, those chassis are a pain to tear down and rebuild with all the wiring...

I'd keep that sucker!

Weirdo and groovy cars are always worth hangin onto. At one of our last events the track owner was chasing us all around with a cop car lights a blazing!

WOOOOOOO! "The cops were after my hotrod lincoln."

Grungerock...... The Rescue and Sheriff Afx cars were very rare several years ago, second and third to the RCMP copcar. But that warehouse stash was uncovered, and the 'market' was flooded, bring the value from over $100 down to around $20-$30. Which makes the State Police car second to the RCMP.

Nonetheless the Rescue and Sheriff cars are very cool variations of the copcars. You konw, I'm seeing less of the Fire Chief cars of late......And they're as common as the regular blue/white copcars. Who gonna unearth a stash of those?

Is the State Police version the one with the blue stripe down one half of the hood, and the orange stripe down the other? Sux its so rare, thats the best looking variation out there...

That's it. But don't fret. They show up on e-bay and sometimes the winning bid is under $25.
