There must not be as large a gap in cost between a metal chassis and plastic one because for over a month now I've seen Fresh Cherries priced at the same point as American Graffiti. When Fresh Cherries were under 2.00 I noticed that AG was a dime cheaper and it made sense but since the price increase, every place I go has them priced the same.

I always thought that AG was just a "Notch" below Fresh Cherries but at the same price I'm wondering why they just don't do all metal bottoms? If they did that I'm betting many more would step up to some of those AG castings like the 78 T-bird, 77 Caprice, Impala, GTO and others.

Dear Mark:

Add two words to that pricing craze: Zinc Prices. And,of course, the content of metal in the cars may diminish in the future and the item may become even more expensive.Motormax is thinking to rise the price of the Cherries to $3.00. And who knows how much RC2 may want for their Johnny Lightnings?
