To quote Tom Wolfe, "As a writer, he's the closest thing we have to Voltaire."

Rest in Peace.

Very sad news. I loved his writing style, tho initially found it rather hard to fathom. One of my favorite of his stories translated to movie form is Harrison Bergeron (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113264/), with Sean Astin in the title role.

So it goes.

Loved his books as a kid, especially Cats Cradle and Slaughterhouse 5. And he had a great cameo in that Rodney Dangerfield movie.

All the things he was through in his life and then he falls down the stairs and busts his melon. It's like a story by him.
