To quote Tom Wolfe, "As a writer, he's the closest thing we have to Voltaire."
Rest in Peace.

Griffworks 04-12-2007, 12:29 PM Very sad news. I loved his writing style, tho initially found it rather hard to fathom. One of my favorite of his stories translated to movie form is Harrison Bergeron (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113264/), with Sean Astin in the title role. Loved his books as a kid, especially Cats Cradle and Slaughterhouse 5. And he had a great cameo in that Rodney Dangerfield movie. gruffydd 04-12-2007, 02:57 PM God Bless You, Mr. Vonnegut! Steve244 04-13-2007, 08:47 AM so it goes... terryr 04-13-2007, 06:10 PM All the things he was through in his life and then he falls down the stairs and busts his melon. It's like a story by him. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
