It is indeed. Made of scrap essentially. One of Stan Lee's most clever origin stories in my opinion. I'm encouraged that the filmmakers are hewing close to the original source material.

That looks great! :thumbsup: I'm looking forward to this one. Although I have my doubts about the director - his decision to cast Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark was spot on.

I don't have the link, but over at Harry's Ain't it Cool website, there were a couple of pics of Downey as Stark...and it looked as though Stark walked right out of the comics. :thumbsup: Having Bridges as Obidiah Stane, I'm wondering if there will be an Iron Monger in the film? I have to admit, this is one movie I really hope turns out well...Iron Man back when Bob Layton & John Romita Jr. were artists was the one comic I couldn't wait to read.

The Grey armor looks pretty good. The New armor looks pretty busy, needs to be streamlined somewhat.

Apparently, the filmmakers are going more for the look below. Stan Winston is providing the actual "solid" armor. Hopefully, CGI will be used sparingly and only where needed.

Agreed. However, I do think they are spicing up that armor to have more surface detail, ala the rubber batsuit vs. Adam Wests'. Regardless, I'm really looking forward to this one.
