I recently purchased the wonderful 1974 Gremlin X , and am impressed with it ; GREAT to see one available finally !
So , has anyone in here converted their Grem to V8 power ? If so , what motor / trans did you use ?
I have a spare "generic" AMC V8 and 727 TorqueCommand ( from an AMT Matador annual kit circa 1975 ) , and would like to replace the kit's I-6 with this combo .
I'm painting the car in Silver Blue Metallic ( including the interior...at least at this point ; I may paint it white... ) , and am using the tyres and wheels from the same Matador which gave up its motor / trans ; the factory "X" wheels , with Good Year tyres . :hat:
