Just saw the remastered version of The Immunity Syndrome this afternoon. This has always been one of my favorite episodes, and it was generally well done with the remastered SFX.

You could actually see into the primary hull windows in the opening beauty shot of the Enterprise!! I was a bit surprised at the Enterprise being buffeted about when they let themselves be drawn into the critter. You could see the shuttlecraft next to the Enterprise when they caught the shuttle in the tractor beam as they were backing out. And there was a nice sequence of the shuttle being brought into the hangar bay.

All in all, this was still a great episode!

I liked it. Still wish they could insert some shots of the special effects when they're clearly needed but not created for the original due to budgetary concerns.

This episode looked a little more "cartoony" than some of the others. Other than that (and that mysterious dark spot on the lower primary hull sensor dome) it was great.

Loved it and think it's another example of the VFX helping to give a bit of a boost to the story line. Not that the story is bad - another of my fav's - but great VFX never hurt the story and actually help it a lot, IMNSHO.

I caught this episode and THE THOLIAN WEB this past weekend. I honestly didn't know what to think of the new CGI effects when they were first announced. But, so far, I have loved each episode! Especially the episodes where SPFX play a major role in the storyline. The new effects have been a major improvement.

I know a lot of folks didn't care for the re-design of the Tholian ships in the Remastered "The Tholian Web", but I thought they did a great job with it. It also allows for it to tie in well to the ENT episodes (from Season 4) that featured the very similarly designed Tholian ships. The new version of the web itself was a very nice touch, as well.

Don't overeact, but IMNSHO, truly a tail wagging the dog moment.

Sure, and I get that. I just don't have a problem with it.

Like, damn, F-16s just DON'T look like P-51s! they should CGI propellors onto them so they tie in better with WWII films. :freak:

Who's carrying these shows and where can I watch them?

Local television stations are carrying them. IIRC, you're in Canada, right Trevor? If that's the case, you won't see them there.

I had an idea last night. Let's get some of the Three Stooges shorts that were made after Curly died - you know, the ones with Shemp or Joe or Curly Joe - and digitally remaster them to put Curly into them!!

Most definitley, yeah. I'm there, too. Between "The Doomsday Machine", "The Corbomite Maneuver", "Balance of Terror" and this episode, I'm sold. The Remastered episodes are a welcome boost.
