Do you remember what it went for?

My understanding is this never went to production and is very rare. Too bad. Great pieces. Just think if you'd win that auction you'd also have to fork over 22% for a buyers premium!

Glad you got this set. I would like to have it as well. I heard there were between 5-15 sets of these.

Depends how you look at it. Miles was winning the race before he held up for McLaren to stage the famous "3 GT40's" photo. In spirit, the #1 car is the winner, even if #2 was the formal winner.

Shelby recently said he wished Ken had been first, as it was what he ment to see. Stating that Ken had deserved it. But in racing only the first car gets the W!
