Chad & Danielle,

Thanks for the day of racing and the food. Just one comment to make, I think 8 open wheel SK's in one main is not making for good racing. Too many good fast cars are being distroyed. My opinion is 6 cars should be the max. It would make for cleaner faster races. I'm sure others would agree.

Keep up the great job you guys are doing... Thanks Again

Chad/Danielle-

Thank you for a great event, The track was great and the people were fantastic. Its kinda intimidating walking in for the 1st time and seeing this monster track thats banked at both ends. But with some set-up help and driving tips from Ron and Rick I was able to do OK.
The meatball subs were great (thank you). Chad did a fantastic job calling the races and keeping the show moving.
Looking forward to the Sizzler.

Was nice to see many new faces, as a K&N local we will always help out with setup help/tips.

Casper, I agree with you there was a great amount of broken cars in the mains the last few events. But I disagree it is caused by to many cars in the mains. I remember for years down there running 8-10 cars mains. Everyone needs to throttle drive better and have a little patience. Most of what I saw yesterday was guys running it hard into the back of cars instead of lifting for a split second and passing clean. I have witness some great races when all drivers give a little. Just my 2 cents !

had a great time still getting used to the newer motors and car but hey thats racing.great crowd and a fun time.a big thanks to MARK ZARRELLI for helping me with that front end i'm at a lost on those things but now i know what i need to look for and do to them.Chad and Danielle as always you have this track moving in a great direction keep it up.8 car mains aren't that bad look at bristol with the real cars leader is on the last place cars bumper almost on the restarts.patience is tough there but needed.and it was great being back with all of you and Nick L. i'll be calling u soon i have a few questions.Craig

8 car open wheel is def tuff but I will race no matter what, I will admit my stupidty got the best of me and cost me the win, but had a sh$t load of fun BS with everyone since thurs night and piting with smyka will never get boring. I am still f'd up over the hole levitating deal. thats some cool sh&t right there. I think the driver stand should extend to the floor, LOL

If anyone found a green plush/stuffed dog bone in the parking lot at the track, please let me know! We think it fell out of the truck when we were packing up. It belongs to my dog and it's her "security blanket". She's lost without it! Thanks!!!

Great job Chad and Danielle, it was nice to be back on the banks. The food was a nice touch, it really makes it easier when thrashing on 2 cars like I was and not having to run out for chow.

As far as the # of cars in the S/K main, it was a pit fight as usual no matter how many cars. 8 is do-able if the separation in qualifying laps is not too great from 1st to 8th.
If more than 3 laps difference means more passing = more crashing. This week the RSE/JBR S/K was good enough to overcome an early crash and make it back to the front despite a few assasanation attempts late in the race!

Chad, Danielle, Had blast this weekend, thanks for a great show again. I would have to agree that 8 open wheel cars in the main is to many if the lap seperation is more than 1 or 2 laps. But as can-o-tuna said I will race no matter what.

I had a great time too. I would be glad to see a 6 car maximum at SK events too. It's just too much carnage. Otherwise evrything went very well. Who won the 3rd Team RSE gift certificate? I have K Darc, Eric Swenson, and ???

Thanks!

i think we should have a full ten car main make them learn how to drive again everyone has to learn how to lift ever once and awhile again and not just go balls out and not try to pass but go throught people . alot of the problem is drivers not number of cars we had a big difference in the 1/12 race and you didnt see us flying off the track most of the time if we broke it was our own fault. everyone wants to blame some one else for what happened take a step back and look at you self first .. i did after the birds this year and it made me a better driver .

when there was a 4 lap diff from leader to last in the main, thats alot to handle with open wheel and 19t or stock and a 1 groove track, but def agree with lifting as much as throttling, I am a prime example of that this past weekend, should have used my head but hey thats how ya learn, like you said.

I dont have a problem with that many cars in the main.....I was surprised the fastest
car did win...That is always not the case....If you have that many cars in the A-Main...
The drivers who qaulified for the show are not beginers....They should be able to Handle it............That it is why it is the "A-Main"............

I was wondering what race you were watching... Ken K had 3.8's up front and was pulling away.... He wrecked and didn't win.... How can you say the fastest car won... I see a big error there Bud..

Casperbase
04-03-2007, 10:40 AM
I didn't mean to make this big of a deal of the car count in the mains. If you just look at the amount of wrecks in the mains and the amount of wrecks in the heats, you can see that 8 cars with open wheels just don't make good racing.

If you people want to say it's all the driver, Look at the SK races at the Winterblast (WreckFest). Go look at a 1/10 19Turn race at Maximus sometime... Pro drivers having a wreck fest. It happens everywhere... People don't like to spend 12 hours and alot of money to be wrecked out of a race in a couple laps.

This was just a idea to make it "better for the racer". Not to get the event over quicker.. This is not pointed at anyone at K&N. It is something needed at all tracks.

PUF19
04-03-2007, 11:09 AM
Again it was NOT the amount of cars, but the drivers that cause the carnage, you guys need to learn respect for one another, Open wheel means GIVE and take.
If it was a 6 car main, nothing different would have happend!!!

omnis85
04-03-2007, 11:10 AM
well I wouldnt diss him like that but I would suggest atleast thinking about it and considering it, this is certainly not the first time an issue has happened in the main and not the last. So many others have commented on this but dont use hobbytalk to express it.

some of you guys are not getting the point i could put four of you on the track and you would still crash each other learn to drive your cars. you dont see f-1 drivers bitching about to many cars on the track at daytona and they have open wheels if you think the fastest car won stock s/k maybe your right but i saw that bob used his head and avoided wrecks by lifting and driving around them

captain11
04-03-2007, 07:13 PM
That track is big enough to run ten cars on, like heckler said learn to lift and drive with your head. The fastest way around is not through somebody, and when somebody gets a run on you don't chop them off or you just lost another lap

DStevens77
04-03-2007, 07:25 PM
Track is plenty big enough for ten and ifmar starts shouldnt have anything to do with car control. Amount of cars short of filling the track up shouldnt matter, after all you usally only race one or maybe two cars at any point in time.
