Ok, I have a 3.5 HP Briggs and I'm trying to ohm the mag for it, does any one know where I can go to find out just exactly where the multimeter probes go to test the primary and the secondary coils? From other sites I've found the generic values, and I think this mag is good, but I'm not sure I'm testing it in the correct place.

wow, some of these words ahve gotten my confused.. but ihead someone tell me that they measured the OHMs by measuring something on the muffler.. i may be even talking nonsense... well jsut saying.

PS - something about raptor3 stock have around 2100OHMs and upgraded raptor3 HOT coils make a more "complete" combustion and make like 4100ohms
