Does anyone really know what type of plastic was used to make these cars?

I read somewhere that it was cycolac:

I also read it was the same stuff they ysed to make telephone casings out of... remember Princess phones in colors like turquoise and olive green?

Cycolac is correct, it is the material listed on most of the original Aurora body blueprints we have.

Nylatron gs for most of the Aurora chassis blueprints we have.

I have yet to find something other than fire to reliably emulsify the nylatron.

The Alchemy continues.

So the Dash body should glue up with goo. Sheet styrene is abs also?

Dont know for sure. I do know that the cement/activator is basically the same for both products. It's on my list of to do's. Try a test skim underneath where you can get at it. I'm fairly certain it'll be OK.
