This car promised so much for Leyland, however, it all turned very sour.
Leyland in Australia were fed up with warmed over English offerings, which didn't come up to scratch in the demanding Oz climate & terrain. The P76 was the answer - it was named car of the year by the magazine Wheels. Unfortunately, it was rushed into production and testing, was effectively carried out, by the buying public.
Reliability was not great.....the car was only on sale for a couple of years before it was canned.

Another offering from Trax.......like the 1:1, the 1:43 wasn't a great seller either and I think Trax caught a cold on the tooling for this car, as they can't defray the cost over several colour variants due to the poor sales.
