I'm looking forward to these as word I've gotten is these 8 little diddys are pretty good.
I wasn't able to catch the limited theatrical release last November.
Did anyone here make it?
I'm guessing "The Abandoned" was exceptional since it got extended theatrical release and won't be on DVD til June

Sorry, but what are you talking about, exactly? Is this the commercial that's been airing on SciFi channel that has several B-Looking movies, one of which has the title "Penny Dreadful"?

I guess 'B-Looking' could be as good as a discription as any, but I'll opt for
old school horror:

Hey, don't get me wrong, man! I love B-Grade Horror Movies!

I'm at work right now, so unfortunately can't look at the link you've given above. I'll check it out when I get home tonight. Thanks for it, regardless!

Just saw another commercial for this on SciFi. I'm gathering from the fact I've never heard of these and your comment, Jimmy B, that they had a very limited release here in The States? Is this one boxed set, do you know? Or is it several individual movies? I've found two different listings for a Penny Dreadful at IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=Penny+Dreadful), but have no clue which is included in this DVD set. The most recent has Mimi Rogers - one of my favorite, most underrated actresses.

OK Found this Wikipedia entry for 8 Films To Die For (a.k.a. "Horrorfest") (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8_Films_To_Die_For), which answers most of my questions about both the event itself and the upcoming DVD release. Sounds like several movies to definitely put on my list. :)

Griff I'm guessing they'll be out individually ala Masters of Horror with a box set at a later date that would probably include 'The Abandoned'.
I skimmed through some of the User Comments on the IMDB and most comments were highly in favor.
I'm no movie connoisseur but these have that cult classic feel to them kinda like House of a 1000 Corpses. Yea I'm looking forward.

Yeah, the IMDb entries for each movie seem to indicate some great production, acting and writing ability. Especially for indie flicks like these.

Thanks for turning me on to these, BTW. I'd seen the commercials, but hadn't really paid that much attention.
