Any big things on tap for the oval this year?

its getting redone right now. we are banking the straights and putting in drains so we wont have water problems like the past. im sure there will be a throphy race or two over the summerand poss an enduro nitro race with teams im always open for suggestions.

trophy races sound cool im bringing mod truck and a couple of freinds with 1/18ths this year cant wait oh will the oval be longer or bout the same

same size we cut out the center so it will drain when it rains. we are also putting up new lights in the center of the track

Did your shock towers have to stick through the body?

just the back ones the fronts fit under ok

do you allow short shock towers and EDM bodies?

They let the sprinters run with the nitro trucks, and the track isn't smooth enough for a late model as you know it. Maybe if you put a late model body on a buggy or truck!!

curt garrett has won every week he has been here with his gas truck, can anyone beat him?

that would be cool but my track isnt smooth enough for the stuff you guys race. I wish i could find the kinda clay it sounds like you have there. where did ya get it from?

I think you could get away with sprints on it, but as far as NTC3's theres no way. I'm heading up north this weekend and may swing by and check out Fruitport.

I purchased the clay from a local guy. Mine is not the red clay like I wish it was. To get it flat and smooth it the trick. We use a drag made just for Baseball dimonds 5'x6' approx size then we put a oak skid on it 4'x'6' approx size with two sinder blocks pulling it with a garden tractor for lets say hours and hours, round and round. I have just enough banking so the water does not stand on it, it drains to the infield, very important that it does this. Now, once you get it nice and smooth you won't believe how well it stays that way.
I might be willing to sell the Base ball drag, there not cheep, but it works awesome. This track is baby smooth! I don't think there is any other way to get it this smooth, mostly time to get it there.

Another easy way to drag a track is to take an old bed spring and put some weight on it. I've seen it done on motor cycle tracks and it smooths the bumps right out.

Bring it out tonight I'm sure that Kevin is running the stock body on his car. Ask Anthony where he got his while you are there. Racing starts @ 7 so you still have time to get there!

Well won't make it tonight. I live 2 hours away. would I need foam tires?

I havn't raced there this year yet but it still looks like that it is still not smooth enough for foams. I think that some are just running an off-road set-up but don't quote me on this. I'm sure in a couple days Kevin will be on here and straighten us out.
Stateline is having a Mars series race this weekend so he will be busy and prob not be able to post right away.

we will be holding a dirt oval throphy race oct 12th classes are 10th nitro truck, mod electric truck, and stock motor novice.

Just a thanx to Kevin for the trophy race this Friday. Everybody needs to show up, even if your not an oval guy, its alot of fun.

I just wanted to say that my son and I had an awesome time. Jr. will probably be running a gas truck next year. Hats off to the stateline crew!
