10 min in an off road race is nothing like running wide open in an oval race you are doing good to get 5 to 6 min out of a .12

So Nascar should just let everyone run whatever size fuel cells they want? You wont be runnin 10 min on a 75cc tank running on oval, even if you drive as slow as Jeff....lol

we can do it the night before the morl race how about a 1/2 hour long slash main? you must make at least 1 batt change and a driver change,the second driver must drive at least 10 min. 2 person teams $10 to enter the race max of 15 start. $56 for first $36 for 2nd and $20 for third. this will be stock slashes, titan motors, stock speedos and tires,and stock springs on the shocks. rpm parts are ok. if there is enough interest we can do one for the 17.5 sc trucks also. we ran one like this at the chi town shootout and it was a blast. we will draw out of a hat for starting posiitions.

actually 16 will start the race i didnt count me in there. The track isnt that big, 16 cars on there at once will be very hectic at best, but thats half the fun in my book.

Tough for sure,but 1/2 hour is a little more demanding than 6 min. So my guess is 11 will finish.

you might be right. we started 14 last night and inverted the field and i think 2 dropped out.

I burned up a brushless 8.5 last Friday. Anybody have a brushless motor they would be willing to sell? Prefer something like a 5.5.

I know a few of us down this way are still planning on making a trip up there to run some 8th Lates. I will post up here when we can all get together and make it up that way. Not sure how many it will be be but probably at least 4 to 5 of us coming up.

We just went over to the new track over in Wheatfield (TNT Raceway) this past weekend and a few more guys have now gotten the Latemodel bug! I've been working on swapping over my offroad buggy and should have it done soon.:thumbsup:

Do you guys run any open practice days for the oval and if so when and how much to run?

I have my 1/8th late done and want to get some track time in on it to try and get the suspension dialied in some. I'm debating on running the standard buggy shocks or fabing up some shocktowers to run TC3 shocks on it. It would be great if I could run it with the stockers and see how it does and then swap over the TC3 shocks and see how much difference it makes.

Your a 2 1/2 hour drive for me so be nice to get my moneys worth if I make the drive up for some practice.;)

jettvolks, there is a box at the track where you put in 5 bucks for practice, I usually go on sunday afternoons. I have my 8th late model ready but nobobdy else that runs here has stepped up and built one, a lotta of talk and no action. It seems that the trend at stateline is that the slash trucks are taking over, there are more of those here on oval night than anything else. They run them on a short coarse track in the middle of the oval. We need more 2wd stadium trucks and 8th late models, lets get some more oval cars on fridays! Post when your going to show up and I will try to be there so we can at least race each other. There is one other regular on fridays that is waiting for his body to get painted and his will be ready.

Hoping to make it up there one day this week during the day. Might even be able to talk the wife into letting me run Friday night. :o

I'll post here as soon as I figure out what day I plan on making the trip up there for practice.

I also have a 10th gas truck that I started to convert to an oval truck that I might bring to run some and see how it does.
