Grog8888 04-05-2007, 03:42 PM I can't wait for opening day!!!! I've been cooped up all winter racing on carpet.
There is nothing like racing a banked oval in the fresh outdoors!!!
BRhodes 04-05-2007, 03:55 PM I have some experience at the Mill. Unfortunately it was back in the mid 90's. Is it the same track as it was back then? The only thing I do remember about it is that it was a fun place to race.

Bob, it is still the same surface as the mid 90's. AND IT IS STILL ONE FUN PLACE TO RACE!
One of the toughest places to make the A. If you make the show, you are doing something right!
Come out and join us if you can. We are running a limited schedule this year. Check the website out and see if you can make any or ALL the races this summer. We would love to have ya.

I do plan to make as many races at the Mill as I can this summer. You will know if I am coming because I will start annoying everybody for setup sheets about a week or two before.
BEACH 04-05-2007, 10:27 PM Setup sheets, no problem Bob. If you get your car close at the Mill, it will be great at Seaford as well, and vise-versa.
Brushless rules SHOULD be the same as ORl. if there is a diffrence I will post it here.
Thanks for your intrest guys, hoping for a great summer
Jim

bologna 04-25-2007, 07:07 AM always fun at the mill and a great bunch of guys to race there with...
mr_meat68 04-25-2007, 08:04 PM i've never been to the track, but us strand guys will be there. i hear there is a couple of bumps going into one of the turns.... what's a good ride height to run the car at so i don't destroy the bottom of my car?
Mr.fastman 04-25-2007, 08:42 PM Cory - There is just one bump at the entry, its not bad at all. I usually just try to run above or below it and run a ride height of about .330 or more.
I am really looking forward to running at the Mill this year, I guess I'll be chasing Beachley around all summer.
Doug

BEACH 05-20-2007, 10:18 PM Well, we had a very light turnout today, THANKS go out to all who made it up today, weather was not a threat at all.
The track was pretty good, first coating of soda, but track wasnt very green. Phil led the way in 4300 brushless, 45. 405 I think, I will post all the results later. I think Toby "DAHACK" Taylor showed the stock guys the fastest way around the track.
Thanks again to all who showed up, George really appreciated it.
Jim
Mr.fastman 05-21-2007, 08:19 AM Thanks Jim - The Mill is always fun.
bologna 05-21-2007, 04:14 PM see you guys sunday morning for a great day at the mill
TBRC1 05-21-2007, 08:08 PM Beach I told it's Da Hitman...............I mean after showing the team and two others the way around the track one would think DaHack would be so wrong to use :D.
Enough about me how about Mandell Jackson 2 yrs off and he ran one lap off me all day. Not bad for a returning racer and an old L3 HUH ?????
Try as he may justin just did'nt have what he needed ...........better luck next time dude !
Bill Auchterlonie 05-21-2007, 08:48 PM QUOTE:Enough about me how about Mandell Jackson 2 yrs off and he ran one lap off me all day.

Frank Mertz 05-21-2007, 09:16 PM Got a question. Are you guys following the ORL rules for 13.5 as far as having the backs o the bodies in?
TBRC1 05-21-2007, 09:38 PM Bill are you sure BOTH of them things were stones ? Or was one kinda grey and squishy ?? What I meant was if I ran a 36 he ran a 35. Then it was a 37 and a 36.
Hey see everyone Sunday at THE MILL !!!!!!!!!!!
BEACH 05-21-2007, 10:04 PM Got a question. Are you guys following the ORL rules for 13.5 as far as having the backs o the bodies in?
Frank.....that is a loaded question I believe. I bet George WILL not enforce the back of the body in rule. I will ask him tomorrow and post the conversation tomorrow night. I do believe the back of the body in rule is a bit silly in my own opinion, but you know what opinions are......
I hope you can make it up, looks like we should have a pretty good crowd as we usually do on the night races.....OH, PS,
DO NOT FORGET YOUR TABLES AND LIGHTS, and EXTENSION cords!
Talk to you later, Jim
Jamie Hanson 05-21-2007, 11:45 PM I am guessing the reason the back of the body rule is in place is because of the BRL. There rules state the back of the body must be in, but no wing is allowed. However, there are no summer BRL races at any large banked ovals. We ran Seaford with the backs left in (Or taped up) with wings and things were just fine. I do not not mind either way as long as it is kept the same for all races.
Frank Mertz 05-22-2007, 08:02 AM Mike and I are planning on coming to run 13.5. I am painting a body up this week and need to figure out how to cut it. Buck might be coming also. I am looking forward to racing after a two month break.
Anytime72 05-22-2007, 09:12 AM Frank you can still cut the body then add tape to it to close it up. At least you can then use it in more than one class.
Hope the Mill gets a good turnout. Wish I could make it.
Walter
Greg H 05-22-2007, 09:36 AM Joe D. - Are you 50%, 90%, or what for this Sunday at the Mill?
Phil and I will be there for 4300.
Bill A. - Are you coming to the Mill this week, and will you be wearing pants, or a skirt?
losi888 05-22-2007, 10:30 AM Me and Andrew will both be there on Sunday. Did you run last weekend Greg. How was the turn one bump running 4300 on it.
Joe DiGirolamo
Greg H 05-22-2007, 11:10 AM Phil and I both ran 45 laps. The turn 1 bump is still the same. It does upset the car a little, but it's not that bad.
losi888 05-22-2007, 05:56 PM I think Jerry and Dave Irgang are both coming to run the Man class. I think next we should have a motion for the ORL to change 4300 to "The Man Class".
